Gogglebox stars Pete and Sophie Sandiford have shared some adorable throwback snaps of them as children with some famous family members.

The Blackpool pair have become favourites on the Channel 4 show, Gogglebox, but they're not the only famous faces in their family.

Pete and Sophie and the great-nephew and great-niece of Chuckle Brothers Paul and Barry - a fact that has thrilled fans.

The sibling duo, who joined Gogglebox in 2017, can be seen in one photo posing with their dad and great-uncles - with many describing the picture as "brilliant".

Sophie is sat on her dad's knee and dressed in a pink dress with a flower in her hair, while brother Pete has barely changed over the years.

He looks adorable in a pair of checked trousers and a white jacket and has a cheeky grin on his face, reports The Mirror.

Paul and Barry are instantly recognisable in their flamboyant pink and floral shirts - with massive smiles.

The family snapshot left fans thrilled, with one commenting: "How cute is Pete!"

"What a brilliant picture," another wrote.

And a third penned: "This is such a mad picture."

Others pointed out the family resemblance, with one writing: "There is a likeness between Pete and Barry...brilliant! Love these two."

Fans first learned of the family connection back in 2018, when Paul Chuckle shared a more recent snap of himself with Pete and Sophie.

Posting it on social media, he wrote: "This day in 2018 with my great niece and nephew."

Paul is of course well known for starring in kids' TV show Chucklevision with his late brother from 1987 to 2009.

Barry sadly died in 2018 following a battle with cancer.

After his death, Sophie paid tribute to him on social media, writing: "A truly lovely and funny man to be around. You filled millions of childhoods with laughter and entertainment including mine and Peters.

"You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace Uncle Barry. Lots of love from me, to you."
