Manchester United supporters are saying the same thing after 'problem' Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed his 800th - and 801st - goals for club and country against Arsenal.

In a topsy-turvy Premier League showdown at Old Trafford, the Portuguese sensation turned home with trademark precision from close-range after being recalled to the starting line-up.

That came after goals at either end from Emile Smith Rowe and Bruno Fernandes, while Martin Odegaard netted as Ronaldo followed it up with his second from the penalty spot.

It means the 36-year-old has now scored 12 goals since touching down for a second act in the UK.

However, amid an ongoing row over the 2021 Ballon d'Or and Lionel Messi picking up the coveted accolade for the (record-extending) seventh time, Ronaldo and his perceived lack of work-rate has come into question.

That's taken on even greater significance since Ralf Rangnick - who is renowned for playing a high press - agreed to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim manager until the end of the season.

But the United supporters have hit back with purpose on Ronaldo's behalf.

@BabarHayyan said: "Viva Ronaldo. He's bigger than the Ballon d'Or."

@odonoghuejames posted: "Haha. Ronaldo is the problem..."

@TomasSheehan added: "Ronaldo has 800 goals, but you can't play him because he doesn't press."

@UnitedSupremo said: "That's 800 goals for the best player of this era... Nobody is better than him."

@supreme_chief1 posted: "I hit my chest way too hard while celebrating that Ronaldo goal..."

@Spsingh_30 added: "The problem has scored his 800th goal."
