BBC Breakfast anchor Nina Warhurst was left devastated when her father, who has dementia, failed to recognize her.
An emotional Nina, 41, shared her heartbreaking news about her father on her Instagram.
She posted a sweet snap of her with her father, writing: He couldn't quite place me.
“Then he pulled out a new glasses case.
'' In a way, he taught me. smile. from my stomach. and laugh at yourself.
"We all maintain deep-seated connections for as long as we can.
"Dementia is not the end. It is the beginning of a new chapter.
