The train was en route from Valencia to Zaragoza in northeastern Spain when blazes loomed and forced it to stop in the city of Vézis.
Train drivers asked passengers to stay inside, but some believed they panicked as they saw the flames approaching more and more. The train, which left Valencia in the afternoon, was carrying 48 people, some of whom smashed windows and got off the train.
