Ashley Cain has shared a disturbing update on the support for his baby daughter Azaylia.
The former Ex On The Beach star has been forced to disassociate with a number of social media support groups that have scammed people out of their money as they try to raise funds for Ashley’s eight-month-old daughter amid her terminal leukemia battle.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the 30-year-old star said he was ‘heartbroken’ that scammers would stoop so low in a bid to profit from his baby’s illness.
“Hi, guys. We feel really sad that it has come to this but we need to inform all of our supporters that we do not endorse, support, or have affiliation with Facebook pages or groups in Azaylia’s name.
“Any communication from these pages/groups has no authority from us and any gifts sent to these addresses are not being delivered or received by us.
“The only official updates and news come from mine and my partner’s Instagram pages. Thank you for all of the continued love and support.”
Azaylia’s story has touched the nation over recent months, and recently famous landmarks across the globe have lit up to recognise the eight-month-old and her battle against the disease.
Together with his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee, they have shared their heartbreaking journey with the world, and have had incredible support for their GoFundMe Page.
Last month, the devastated couple took Azaylia home after doctors told them her leukemia can no longer be treated.
Doctors said the brave baby could have just days to live, but in a recent social media post, Ashley said the family aren't "counting down the days" and are trying to make all their time together count.
Opening up about his little girl’s incredible battle, proud dad Ashley penned : “As a parent, it's the hardest thing in the world to see your child like this, at home with the painful, inevitable fate pending.
"For some insane reason though, I still have some crazy belief that she will still be with us next week, the week after that, and the week after that.
"But we aren't counting the days right now, we're just doing our best to make those days count.”
