SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton’s company claimed furlough money despite being worth millions.
The tough talking instructor’s firm claimed up to £20,000 from the government job retention scheme for his company Middleton Global Ltd.
The 40-year-old used furlough for the months of December and January even though he was still employed by Channel 4 and the hit series has been unaffected by the pandemic.
Ant was controversially sacked by Channel 4 in March but continues to front the Australian version of the show.
According to its latest accounts, Middleton Global Ltd has assets of £1,469,067 and a healthy £823,272 in equity.
The company paid £447,930 in corporation tax, which means it raked in approximately £2.24 million up to 31 March 2020.
The company employs three people including the directors, Ant and his wife Emilie.
A rep for Middleton declined to comment.
He became a TV star after leaving the Armed Forces in 2012 and stints in the Special Boat Service, Paras, Royal Marines and Army.
He’s also written two autobiographies, which have gone onto be Number One best sellers.
He also posted a “tough-love” video message last March urging his followers to carry on as normal despite coronavirus.
As the world rapidly went into lockdown, he faced a backlash and posted an apology. There was more social media backlash last June after he posted a video of violence at anti-racism protests in London.
He tweeted: “The extreme left against the extreme right. BLM and EDL are not welcome on our streets, absolute scum. What a great example you are to your future generation. Bravo.”

A Channel 4 spokesperson said at the time of his sacking: “Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
“Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again.”
