Hosts Ant and Dec of former pop idol Darius Campbell Danesh died after being informed of the obituary.
The Scottish singer and theater star was found dead in his Minnesota apartment on August 11, aged 41. his family said in a statement Tuesday night. His cause of death remains unknown.
Darius, who rose to fame alongside Gareth Gates and Will Young in the 2001 series, was hosted by co-hosts Ant and Deck. We became close while we were there. Darius also appeared on an episode of the joint entertainment show Ant and Dec's Saturday Night He Takes Away.
On Twitter Wednesday, Ant and Deck said: Our hearts go out to his lovely family.#RIP.”

In a statement given to PA news agency, former pop idol judge Cowell, 62, said: He's funny and just wonderful to be with. His death was an absolute tragedy for such a young man and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Darius' family announced the death of the colorblind singer in a statement on Tuesday. He was found unresponsive in his bed in an apartment in Rochester, MN, and was confirmed dead in the afternoon by the local coroner."
