The countdown to Valentine’s Day has started with shops and websites offering discounts and deals on all things romance-related to get everyone in the mood for the annual celebration of love.
We’ve already seen Marks & Spencer and Tesco launch dine-in deals for couples looking for a romantic night in on February 14th and now Amazon has dropped the prices on essentials to make the evening complete.
The online retailer has cut the price of condoms, rose petals and Yankee Candles in a surprise Valentine's Day sale, reports Hull Live.
In an effort to tempt amorous couples to spend some money, Amazon has cut the price of condoms by up to 40 per cent.
A pack of 40 assorted 'Surprise Me' condoms have been reduced from £26.99 to £15.79 in the sale. Other discounts include a three-pack of Durex lube including Tingle, Strawberry and Cherry for £11.50 - down from £15.99.
Couples can also get their hands on artificial Valentine's Day rose petals - the pack comes with 3,000 rose petals and is reduced from £19.99 to £8.49.
There are also reductions on Valentine's Day gifts including large Yankee Candles - down from £23.99 to £14.99 and 100ml bottles of Vera Wang Princess for women - down from £60 to just £16.85.
The deals are available ahead of Valentine's Day on Friday, February 14 - while stocks last. .
Amazon is not the only retailer to launch a risqué sale in the run up to the big day.
