Ally McCoist's Rangers tears 'strangle us' as Darrell Curry lifts the lid on BT Sport's Europa League Odyssey

Darrell Currie loves every minute of laughter he shares withAlly McCoist and Chris Sutton. And when BT Sport embarks on another season after the Scottish club in Europe, he expects his side to split as Old Firm rivals hammer it out on screen.

The broadcaster saw another side of McCoist, especially Rangers reaching the Europa League final, and how big the club means to his former Ibrox icon. I admit it hurt. decades ago. Curry saw Coisti go through a whole gamut of emotions when Gels moved to Seville in a season when the club lost legend manager Walter Smith and kitman Jimmy Bell.

And he admits that there have been some of his most difficult moments behind the microphone as he watched the former Scottish striker struggle to cover his emotions. A 40-year-old Glaswegian told Record Sport :

"Over the last few years, we have been fortunate to have playedCelticgreat games in Champions League and Europa League finals. BT – Great, lots of positive feedback for sticking with the Scottish team all the way

"It's a great game to be in, Allie We were a little tormented to see men like him crying in tears, the whole journey people talk about with the Rangers, he was on that journey from the beginning.

``That night really touched him. Even in Seville, one of the memories that I will never forget that season is the feeling of losing my best friend Walter Smith. I remember it was absolutely right that we had to do something about Jimmy Bell and Walter in the preparation:

``Watch Ally watching the video we put together. It was the most painful 3-4 minutes I've seen on TV, and when I talked to him and then we talked about it, I used to say that he thinks of Walter every day.

``He's still doing it.

I love those games and can't wait to come back.

``Celtic are back in the Champions League. It's so good to see Hearts back in Europe. What a venue for Tynecastle to play. There are hardly any, so we're mostly standing among the fans. There are more matches than ever in the European competition with expanded group stages.

"From a Scottish football perspective, It's great that we've reached this stage. With Celtic in the Champions League,Rangers in theEuropa League final and Hearts in the group stage this year, it's all our claim. BT Sport has a real respect for Scottish football and we must continue to fight for it.”

There were a few tears last semester, but McCoist and Most of Curry's time with Sutton was spent trying to referee the duo tearing each other apart and tearing him to shreds. As he launched a new series of his BT podcast called Currie Club, which starts Sept. 2, he said:

"Call Ally and tell him something to beat Chris, or talk to Chris with Ally's jokes. They're doing me every ten minutes, too."

"After so many shows, I get a call from the loser. come on it's mostly about quizzes and they're dog abused as if they're thinking about every question they're insanely competitive and that's what makes the show i think it's hilarious Someone said I should use my experience dealing with these two to think about a referee, but I don't stand a chance."
