There is less than one week to go until the new Championship campaign commences but clubs still have over a month to complete their summer transfer business.

88 signings have been completed in the second tier since the 2020/21 season concluded in May with Luton Town, QPR and Birmingham City three of the most active clubs in the window so far.

Preston North End have made four signings so far though one of those is out injured for a considerable period in Izzy Brown.

Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough have also been busy while newly-promoted Blackpool have bolstered their squad as they attempt to ensure their Championship return it not a short-lived one.

Former Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes remains in the Championship after joining Huddersfield Town while Amari'i Bell will return to Ewood Park this season as a member of Nathan Jones' Luton side.

Here is a round-up of all the completed deals in the Championship so far.

The EFL has confirmed Reading are under a transfer embargo for breaching Profit and Sustainability rules.

BerkshireLive reports: "Reading's spending in recent years has seen them far exceed what they take in and, coupled with the pandemic, they are now having to severely cut costs in all areas. Veljiko Paunovic is yet to sign any new players this summer for the upcoming season.

"For clubs such as Royals under an embargo in relation to a Profit and Sustainability rule breach, the EFL says each case will be assessed individually and considerations will be given in the circumstances of re-signing currently registered players, academy players and the club having fewer than 24 established players.

"An 'established' player is someone aged 21 or over as of June 30 immediately prior to the start of the season in which the club is subject to the embargo and who has been named in the starting 11 on a total of at least five occasions in the league, League Cup, EFL Trophy and FA Cup."

YorkshireLive report: "Slavisa Jokanovic says he is 'hopeful of results soon' regarding new arrivals having held a series of talks with the club's key recruitment figures.

"The new Blades boss is not planning a major overhaul of the playing squad, insisting on evolution not revolution."
