All the best pictures as the Brecon Carreg 10k returns to Cardiff Bay

Runners across Wales returned to Cardiff's first mass-participation sporting event since October 2019

Thousands of runners across Wales gathered for the return of the Brecon Carreg 10k in Cardiff.

After a break of almost two years, wheelchair racers and runners lined the street of Lloyd George Avenue, Cardiff Bay, ready to race for their chosen charities.

While Parkruns and other 10k events have slowly returned to Wales this summer, this was to be Cardiff's first mass-participation sporting event since October 2019.

For some, it would be their first official running event, having only started running through lockdown. For others, it was a welcome return to the norm.
