Alejandro Garnacho has caught the eye for Manchester United in what has been a productive week.
The Spanish youngster who joined the club from Atletico Madrid last summer penned his first professional contract earlier this week.
The 17-year-old then went on to score for the U23s in a pre-season victory over Stalybridge and he netted a brace in the U18s first pre-season tournament game against Tottenham.
"First game of the tournament, 2-1, @spursofficial, 2 goals," Garnacho boasted on his Instagram story showing an image of himself celebrating in United colours.
United U18s are competing in a pre-season tournament to prepare for a long season ahead.
Garnacho caught the eye in his opening season for the club's U18 side scoring seven goals and registering three assists in 17 games.
He is expected to play a regular role for the club's U18 side in his second season too and remains behind the likes of Joe Hugill, Shola Shoretire and Anthony Elanga who all spent time with the club's first team in pre-season this summer.
But Solskjaer has proved that he is willing to open doors for the United's youngsters and throw them in at the deep end in the true Busby Babes tradition.
Garnacho will be hoping for another solid campaign in order to get himself in the Norwegian boss' reckoning.
"Proud day for me and my family, thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this moment," Garnacho shared on his Instagram after signing his first contract with the club accompanied with a love heart emoji.
