AEK Athens 1 Leicester 2: Vardy scores first Europa League goal and Choudhury adds rare strike to maintain perfect start

JAMIE VARDY made his Europa League debut and continued his record of scoring in every competition he has played in for Leicester City.

After grabbing the winner at Arsenal on Sunday night, the Foxes No9 was fit enough to be in from the start.

And 18 minutes into the clash at AEK Athens, he won the penalty which he dispatched to fire his side ahead.

Hamza Choudhury added only his second goal for his boyhood club with a smart back-post finish after losing his marker.

Muamer Tankovic came on at half-time and had an immediate impact for the Greeks, tucking home neatly within three minutes and then blazing over just moments later.

Brendan Rodgers was able to rest Vardy and James Maddison's for the final stages as they held on to make it six points from six in Group G.
