It's Liverpool, but not as we know it.

Neil Critchley's Under-23 squad will be tasked with taking on Shrewsbury Town at Anfield in tonight's FA Cup fourth round replay, while Jurgen Klopp and his senior stars enjoy a mid-winter break.

So does that give us a betting opportunity? We asked our Chief Liverpool Writer Ian Doyle what he expects at Anfield tonight, and where the clever money should be going.

Win, lose or draw?

Liverpool 3-2 Shrewsbury. Expect a lot of goals with so much of the unknown surrounding this tie. It'll be like nothing Anfield has seen before. For a start Liverpool are Evens to win, in a home game against League One opposition. Over 4.5 goals is a huge 16/5 shout .

Who’s a good bet for 1st scorer?

Harvey Elliott will no doubt have his supporters but it's hard to look beyond Curtis Jones for the first goal. Both are 13/2 to score the first goal and 21/10 to score at any time.

It's difficult to look beyond Curtis Jones (pictured with Pedro Chirivella) for first goal tonight.

Who’s on the naughty step?

The Liverpool defence is likely to come under an awful lot of pressure and the youngsters will have a lot of work to do. Sepp van den Berg, the centre-back, might well have to take one for the good of the team. Otherwise, you're looking at Pedro Chirivella in the engine room.

Who’s on pens?

Harvey Elliott scored a penalty earlier this season - Rhian Brewster, now out on loan, scored all the others - so probably best backing the 16-year-old. He's a 21/10 anytime scorer tip.

Will the Reds keep a clean sheet?

Liverpool's first team have been keeping out goals for fun, but young goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has conceded 10 goals in his last two senior appearances behind a makeshift defence. It would be quite something if Shrewsbury don't score. Both Teams To Score is a solid 8/15 tip with thepools.com.
