The new owners of a care home which closed last year say they are aiming to reopen it before Christmas, creating around 40 new jobs.

Addison Court, in Accrington, closed last November with former operators Priory Adult Care saying the nursing home had suffered from ‘structural underfunding’ of the industry.

New owners Dovehaven have now launched a recruitment drive as they are reopening the Addison Street site this month - to welcome those people who require residential care and live with dementia.

Dovehaven said several previous staff members have returned to their old roles, but vacancies remain to be filled before they can reopen the newly refurbished home.

They are recruiting for the following positions: Cook, Night staff Senior Carer, Day and night carers, Maintenance, Domestic and Laundry Assistant, Activity Coordinator.

Anyone interested is requested to pop into the home and request an application form.
