A young football fanatic was left scared to go out after his prized wallet and savings were stolen at a popular car boot sale.
Shannon Kenyon, from Huncoat, says she visited the event in Great Harwood last Sunday morning (September 12) when a thief targeted her six-year-old son Alfie Talbot, a big fan of Accrington Stanley and England.
She said: “My lad has a cross body bag with a wallet inside that was zipped up.
"He only had about £2 in the wallet, but he saved that from helping around the house.

“We spent the morning looking around all the stalls and when he finally decided he wanted to buy something, he looked at his bag and the zip was open and the wallet gone.
"It’s an England wallet.
"He was really upset so I took him to purchase another one and replaced the money he lost.
"He is now scared when we go out that a ‘bad guy’ is going to take his things.”
Shannon says she hasn’t reported the theft to the sale organisers or police, but just wanted to warn people, after her son, who loved watching England’s run to the Euros final this summer was left upset by the theft.
She added: “He loves going to football classes and watching Accrington Stanley play.”
