NORWICH and Southampton want Chelsea’s highly-rated young defender Marc Guehi to help save them from relegation this season.
The two Premier League clubs have contacted the Blues about taking the England Under-21 star on loan until the end of the season.
But they face competition from Championship clubs Bristol City, Swansea and Nottingham Forest who both believe the 19-year-old can make a major difference to their fights to gain promotion to the top flight.
INTER MIAMI are lining up David Silva to become their first marquee signing, according to reports.
The Spaniard is considering teaming up with David Beckham's MLS franchise when his contract comes to an end at Manchester City next summer.
Silva, 33, would have spent ten trophy-laden years at the Etihad at the end of this campaign.
Pep Guardiola would not stand in Silva's way of the exit door if he wants a final swansong elsewhere with reports of a move back to Spain.
But the Independent write how Inter Miami – co-owned by David Beckham – want to steal a march and make him the face of the new club.
MANCHESTER UNITED'S interest in Dejan Kulusevski has been confirmed by the player's agent.
SunSport exclusively revealed that the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the midfielder.
The Atalanta star has also attracted interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus following his incredible loan spell with Parma.
United sent scouts to watch him in action during his side's 2-1 win over Napoli at the weekend.
Stefano Sem, agent of Kulusevski, has admitted the 19-year-old Swede could make the move to the Premier League.
Speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo, he said: “Dejan is currently leading the way in terms of performance.
“He would like to play for a big club, like any player. At the same time, Atalanta have grown and now only three or four clubs are ahead of them.
“Therefore, what Dejan wants is a big jump, one that's reasoned and studied, with everything in agreement.”
He added: “If we have to interrupt a journey in January, it must be for the opportunity of a lifetime and not so much financially as it is in terms of sporting project.
“Clubs abroad, in the Premier League, have tracked him and he could go there in the summer, but right now he's on a great journey with Parma.
“Before going to a big club, it was right that he proved himself.
“He's hungry and wants to make it, combining talent with a not-too-shabby physique. He can only have a bright future.”
Kulusevski's valuation of £8m from last summer has rocketed up to more than £40m following his impressive spell of form.
He has scored three goals in 13 appearances for Parma this season and has described them as the “perfect” club.
MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly missed out on the chance to sign Liverpool new boy Takumi Minamino because Ed Woodward had no idea about his release clause.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds confirmed the arrival of the Japanese international forward this week after meeting the £7.25m transfer clause in his contract at RB Salzburg.
The 24-year-old was one of a number of players being tracked by United ahead of the January window opening.
But they were beaten to the bargain deal by the current Premier League leaders, with the Red Devils under the impression they would have had to fork out a lot more to secure his services.
And according to Goal, that is because executive vice-chairman Woodward was completely unaware of the star’s release clause.
If the report is true, it will not be the first time that the Old Trafford chief has plundered in the transfer market.
David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and especially Jose Mourinho have all been left frustrated over Woodward’s dealings and inabilities to secure their top targets.
MANCHESTER CITY have reportedly joined Real Madrid in the race for Paris Saint-Germain star Marquinhos.
Le 10 Sport claims Pep Guardiola has thrown his hat in the ring for the Brazilian centre-back after watching his defence suffer this season.
The two-time Premier League title winner opted against replacing Vincent Kompany when the Belgian departed for Anderlecht.
And Guardiola was quickly left to rue his decision after star man Aymeric Laporte suffered a long-term injury early in the season.
It has forced the Spaniard to use one of his best midfielders, Fernandinho, as an emergency centre-back.
John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi have also shown they are not up to the standard required to be a first-choice defender at the Etihad.
And it’s now reckoned Guardiola wants Brazil international Marquinhos to become his next big-money signing.
The former Roma ace, 25, is in his seventh season at the Parc des Princes and is regarded as one of the world’s best in his position.
Marquinhos has an incredible five Ligue 1 titles to his name, as well as four French Cups, five League Cups and five Champions Trophies.
However, it’s reckoned he is thinking about quitting the French capital in search of a new challenge.
And City could be right up Marquinhos’ street as they look to claw back Liverpool in the race for the title.
But Guardiola faces a huge threat in Real Madrid, who are on the hunt for Sergio Ramos’ successor.
The Spaniards are joint-top of La Liga with Barcelona and Marquinhos could prefer a move to the Bernabeu.
