JOSE MOURINHO admits he has made mistakes in his career and will continue to do so after joining Tottenham.

But the Special One says he is humble enough to have learned the error of his ways as he attempts to turn Spurs into a winning club.

Mourinho, 56, has taken over from Mauricio Pochettino with the task of bringing success to North London.

And he insisted at his first press conference as boss he does not need to sign players to deliver what is being asked.

Asked if was an improved boss after his Manchester United experience, Mourinho said: I think so. These last 11 months have been used to think and to prepare.

“You never lose your DNA. You are what you are – for the good things and the bad things. I know in my career that I’ve made mistakes.

“I’m not going to make the same mistakes. I’m going to make new mistakes. I’m going to be stronger.

“Happiness-wise I am convinced my choice was a great one. Ten out of ten.”
