The midfielder will enter the final year of his contract in June and he is not expected to extend.

Walcott posted: "Today marks my last appearance in a Saints shirt and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at @SouthamptonFC it’s a fantastic club with incredible people.

"I am really disappointed for the fans that we weren’t able to stay in the Premier League this season, but I am certain the club will be back there again soon.

"I would like to wish the team and fans every success for the future.

"My aim is to continue playing and I’m looking forward to the next challenge…"

Declan Rice has told friends he has played his last ever Premier League match for West Ham.

According to Football Insider, the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina will be his swansong as he closes in on a summer move with Arsenal keen.

The midfielder’s representatives are looking to put together a box-office deal with one of the Premier League’s top clubs.

The England international wants to stay in the Prem and prefers a London club despite interest from abroad, like Bayern Munich.

The North Londoners are in pole position to land the 24-year-old but Chelsea and Manchester United are keen as well.

The star forward's season was curtailed by injury and he has frustrated the club with some of his behaviour, such as attending the Monaco Grand Prix while his team-mates celebrated winning Ligue 1.

Guardiola is keen to know exactly what the Brazil international is thinking ahead of the transfer window and called up for a chat, according to L'Equipe.

The report, though, adds that the 31-year-old is unlikely to move to the Etihad, despite the Spanish tactician's interest in his wellbeing.

  • On the Prow-l

Southampton are hoping to land up to £40million for James Ward-Prowse this summer despite their relegation to the Championship, reports SunSport's Jack Rosser.

Saints see Ward-Prowse as one of their few chances to receive a big fee during the summer transfer window as they look to fund a rebuild.

Despite dropping to the Championship, the midfielder still has three years left on his deal and will be in demand this summer, leading to Southampton's optimistic valuation.

West Ham have long tracked the England international and are keen to add Fulham's Joao Palhinha alongside him as they look to replace Declan Rice, a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.

No talks have been held between the 28-year-old and interested clubs at this stage as he is planning some time away following his final Southampton game against Liverpool on Sunday.

  • Chelsea go for Ugarte

Chelsea are pressing ahead in the chase for Sporting Lisbon star Manuel Ugarte, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have pulled out of the transfer race.

  • Brighton pair on the move

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has cast doubt on the future of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.

Mac Allister was in tears at Aston Villa after what could be his last match for the Seagulls amid his links with a move to Liverpool.

De Zerbi said: “I think it can be the last game of Alexis and Caicedo. I’m really sorry, because they are two great great players…

“I think it can be the last game for Alexis and Moises Caicedo.

"I am really sorry because they are two great players, but the policy of Brighton is like this. It is right that they can leave, they can play at a higher level.”

Erik ten Hag remains defiant that David de Gea will sign a new deal to stay at Man United.

The goalie's future remains unclear with his contract up next month.

But they don't want to sell permanently as they have reportedly turned down an offer from an unnamed Champions League side.

  • Keane verdict on Mount

Roy Keane has had his say on Manchester United being linked with signing Mason Mount

Keane told Sky Sports: “I wouldn’t be so sure about Mount.

Micah Richards challenged him on his comment.

And former Red Devils skipper continued: “He’s just gone off the boil a little bit. I know he can bounce back and he’s got qualities and I was raving about him a few years ago.

“He’s just gone missing the last year or two, had one or two injuries, the fact he can’t get in a bad Chelsea team.

“I wouldn’t be hanging my hat too much on him in terms of improving United and closing the gap, I think he’s a good player but would he improve United? I’m not so sure.”

And after her achievements the club will refuse to stand in his way.

They are thought to reach an agreement stopping the 64-year-old from taking another job for a year.

Napoli clinched their first title since 1990 this season but could face a huge summer of change if stars Kim-min Jae and Victor Osimhen also depart.

"We are delighted that Mauricio is joining Chelsea. Mauricio is a world-class coach with an outstanding track record. We are all looking forward to having him on board."

And Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, said: "Mauricio’s experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character will serve Chelsea well as we move forward.

"He is a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages.

He is one of the most successful and popular managers in recent times at Spurs, Chelsea’s bitter London rivals, despite failing to win a trophy with the club.

Guerreiro said in an emotional statement: "After seven amazing years, it's time for me to say goodbye to you all with a lot of sadness.

  • Tuchel's future in doubt

Bayern Munich only appointed Thomas Tuchel on March 24 after the shock axing of Julian Nagelsmann, but his future is already in doubt.

He guided Bayern to an eleventh consecutive Bundesliga title but chaos remains apparent behind-the-scenes in Bavaria.

CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic have been fired.
