Tottenham have agreed a deal to loan record-breaking Tanguy Ndombele to Napoli.
French midfielder Ndombele will join theSerie A giants on his loan for the season at a cost of just £850,000.
Terms include an option for him to purchase the 25-year-old for £25 million, with his treatment in Italy scheduled for later this week.
Spurs broke a transfer record in 2019 when he acquired his Ndombele from Lyon for £65m. He moved to United last year in January but struggled to justify his hefty price tag.
Jose Mourinho was never really pitched to Ndombele during his tenure at Spurs.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte excluded him from preseason plans and ordered the playmaker to train on his own, but loaned him out to Lyon late last season.
Spurs had hoped to sell Ndombele outright, but agreed to a loan, just as they sold Jolo Celso to Villarreal.
They are still trying to get their exiled allies, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon, to move.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are interested in young Blackburn in his centre-back Ashley Phillips.
