McDonald’s menu LATEST — Fast food fans say the same thing as Steakhouse Stack burger & Chicken Big Mac are launched

FAST food lovers have shared their verdict on McDonald's new burgers as the restaurant giant added FIVE more items to its iconic menu yesterday.

The legendary burger chain has brought back three fan-favourite items while adding a brand-new, unique sandwich for the first time.

The all-new Steakhouse Stack burger joined the menu for the first time along with the iconic Chicken Big Mac, which will be available for a limited time only - alongside the Mozzarella Dippers and the Cadbury Creme Egg and Caramel Egg McFlurries.

On top of the menu changes, Maccies will be launching Winning Sips, which will give eaters the chance to win £10,000 in cash and more by purchasing drinks at the legendary food chain.

And fans are loving the new items with one saying: "Need @McDonaldsUK to keep the Chicken Big Mac forever on the menu," whilst a second added: "McDonald's Steakhouse Stack 8.5/10 very nice!''

The burger on its own costs £4.49 or £6.09 as a meal, which includes chips and a drink.

  • How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.

  • What is the new Steakhouse Stack?

McDonald’s fans will be in for a treat today as a brand new burger will appear on the fast food chain’s menu.

The new Steakhouse Stack is made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a toasted bun.

The mouth-watering burger will set you back £5.39 by itself or £6.99 as a meal.

  • Mighty McMuffin returns

The Mighty McMuffin will be available at 1,450 restaurants across the UK and Ireland today.

It comes with sausage, egg, double bacon, cheese, and ketchup or brown sauce.

McDonald's first introduced the Mighty McMuffin last year, when it was added to the Christmas menu.

  • What are Happy Meals?

The McDonald's Happy Meal is aimed at children and contains a main, side and drink.

For the main, you can pick from a hamburger, cheeseburger, fish fingers, veggie dippers or four McNuggets.

The side is either a bag of carrots, fries or fruit.

You can pick one up for £2.59, depending on where you are - if you order in branch or for delivery.

Maccies regularly changes its Happy Meal toys so customers can pick up different figurines across the year.

In the past the meal has come with Dreamworks-themed and Mr Men-themed toys.

  • The McDonald's app as a host of deals every Monday

Every Monday, the app has a host of deals available to cash in on.

Typically, you can grab items including a Big Mac for just £1.09 - usually, the fast food favourite would cost £4.09 so hungry deal hunters can save £3.10.

You have to order it on the app and claim it from your closest McDonald's by 11.59pm on the day though.

In the past, McDonald's has offered triple cheeseburgers and quarter pounders for the same price in the exclusive Monday offer.

Additionally, something new is up for grabs every week.

  • McDonald’s hikes menu prices again for the second time in just weeks

McDonald’s customers will be disappointed to learn that the fast food giant has increased the prices of its items once again.

It’s the second time within just weeks that the restaurant has upped item costs.

Information remains scarce but McDonald’s confirmed that the price increase move applies broadly across its coffee menu.

For example, its black and white coffee drinks have gone up by 20p – from 99p to £1.19.

It wouldn’t give prices for other items on its menu as it said franchises set their own prices.

Prices will vary depending on location and restaurant so make sure you check at your local McDonald’s for the correct increase.

A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Sun: “We remain committed to offering great tasting food at affordable prices.

“However, increasing costs continue to affect our company, our franchisees and our suppliers.

“We carefully review and adjust our prices to ensure that while some prices may change, we maintain great value and quality across our menu.”

  • What are the most popular McFlurry flavours around the world?

The most popular McFlurry flavours around the world are between Terry's Chocolate Orange (UK), Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (US) and M&M and Twix around Europe.

You might not have access to all flavours though, depending on where you are, so check your local menu first before you have your heart set.

Some exotic flavours like Pineapple Oreo is popular in Colombia, while Canada love the Creme Egg McFlurry.

Unfortunately, the UK doesn't sell Bubblegum Squash, a favourite flavour in Australia.

But you can always count on Smarties and Oreo for being a fan favourite in most places.

  • How to make a McDonald’s milkshake from home

For a basic milkshake, you need:

    • 250g vanilla ice cream
    • 160g milk (add more if necessary)
    • Vanilla: Add a drop of vanilla essence or a teaspoon of icing sugar.
    • Chocolate: Add two tablespoons of any drinking chocolate powder, such as Nesquik or Options Hot Chocolate (do not use cocoa because it is too bitter).
    • Strawberry: Add two tablespoons of Nesquik strawberry.
    • Banana: To get that very sweet taste of McDonald’s shakes, add two tablespoons of Nesquik banana. Or, for a more subtle flavour, add a chopped banana. If you really want it to look authentic, a couple of drops of yellow food colouring will do the trick.

    METHOD:

    1. Blend the ingredients together.
    2. When adding powdered flavouring, start with just one tablespoon at first and taste. If you need to add more, gradually add the rest, tasting as you go.
    3. Remember, the main ingredient is ice cream, so the more you blend, the more it will melt and the thinner it will be.
    4. Pour into two glasses, add straws and serve.

  • How to make your own Big Mac at home

Sometimes, for any number of reasons, you just can’t make to your local McDonald’s to grab a delicious Big Mac.

So, here is how to make one from the comfort of your own home.

First things first, to make the burger, you need beef mince, burger buns – ideally seeded – iceberg lettuce, an onion, burger sauce, American cheese and depending on your preference, gherkins.

In order to re-create the three layers, you need to cut one burger bun in half, then slice another one in half and use the bottom layer for your middle slice.

And don’t be tempted to use a pre-made burger patty, make that burger yourself!

Next, you will want to make Maccies’ iconic Big Mac sauce.

    Here is our recipe:

    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons French dressing
    • 4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
    • 1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
    • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Head here for our full homemade Big Mac recipe.
