Love Island 2023 live — George becomes the first islander to exit the villa while Molly makes huge relationship move

LOVE Island fans all said the same thing as George Fensom became the first person to be booted out of the villa in a brutal twist.

Whitney had the final say after she chose Medhi over George in the recoupling.

Love Island fans flocked to Twitter to comment when Bedford boy George left.

One said: "Whitney and Mehdi yasss bring it on! Bye George," while another added: "Of course George was going to go," and a third chimed in: "Was anyone actually surprised?"

Meanwhile Molly Marsh and Ella Thomas are bookies favourites to take home the cash prize at the end of the summer on the hit ITV show.

According to Ladbrokes, after nearly a week in the villa, the bookies have Mitchel and Molly priced at just 5/2 to go all the way and win the series - especially after she picked the boy from Sheffield over Sammy in the recoupling.

  • Bored fans all say the same thing about show as they beg producers for change

Love Island viewers weren't impressed by Molly Marsh who broke down in tears confessing that she isn't "closed off" to exploring other connections outside of Mitchel.

His response broke her down as he explained: "I don’t want to give you the energy I think you deserve, when you’re not going to give me any reciprocation back. I’d rather let you do your thing.

“No one compares to you right now. I’m still gonna adore you, I still think you’re great…I don’t wanna cuddle and all that stuff anymore, I wanna sit back and I want you to explore your options.”

Molly walked off and she was joined by Ruchee at the firepit as she said while tearing up: "Ah f*** off, everyone has a go all the time."

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on her reaction, with one saying: "Molly Island is not what I signed up for," and another chimed in: "Ok like enough of the Molly show what's going on with Ruchee and Andre?"

  • Having Croc words

LOVE Island's Indiyah Polack has accused Molly Marsh of crying "crocodile tears" during last night's episode.

Indiyah, 24, who rose to fame on the ITV2 show last summer, claimed actress Molly, 21, can't be "trusted" because of her profession.

Speaking to Sam Thompson and Will Manning on the podcast, Love Island: The Morning After, she took a huge swipe at the blonde beauty.

Molly received backlash after crying over her budding romance with Mitchell Taylor - which she felt had caused Zachariah Noble to see her as being "closed off".

After the watching the installment, Indiyah confessed: "I have got trust issues in people who do acting as a career cos I know you can switch the tears on.

"Not being funny or anything but it's day two... what are we crying about? Nobody's dead."

  • Who left Love Island last night?

Fans said goodbye to George Fensom tonight.

He was first to be axed, but he's not bitter.

He gushed: "I’ve had an absolute blast, dropping loose game and making everyone laugh.

The experiences I’ve had, the people I’ve met and the lifelong friendships that I’ve formed have
made my Villa experience very worthwhile.

I wish everyone in there the best Villa experience and I can’t wait to see them all on the outside."

  • Voice-over legend

Iain Stirling had fans in fits of laughter last night.

Talking about Mitchel, he said: "Nobody wants to be a number 2 in a dumping."

    Geddit?!

  • By George

Wow. We had no idea Whitney was into George.

    Thanks for the clips, producers!!

Did you see Sammy pretend to call George Fensom over to Whitney once she admitted he was her number one crush?

    Jokes.

  • A dose of Medhi-cine

So...Whitney got her dose of Medhi-cine.

Did you see them sit closely together and vibe?

Didn't see that coming, but she was so impressed she picked him over George at the recoupling - sending the Bedford boy home.

  • Trouble in paradise

Love Island fans are all saying the same thing about Molly Marsh and Mitchel.

Why’s Molly the one being emotional? Because Mitch wasn’t going to sit and wait around…. Sheeeesh red flag! #LoveIsland

  • Sixth sense about Sammy

Fans reckon Sammy is waisting his time with Molly.

    To put it bluntly.

  • Island fun

LOVE Island fans were all saying the same thing after Ella was picked to go on a date with bombshell Sammy.

Ella was the first of the original Islanders of this series of Love Island to enter the hideaway, as she was chosen to have a drink with the newcomer.

While the date no doubt sparked concerns with Tyrique, who is currently coupled up with Ella, viewers rushed to social media to insist he had nothing to worry about.

One insisted on Twitter: "Ella is not leaving Tyrique."

  • Pick n mix

LOVE Island fans are convinced that new bombshell Sammy was told who to pick for his dates by producers and even say there’s proof.

Hunky new arrival Sammy Root arrived during Thursday's episode of the ITV2 dating show and immediately made a beeline for Molly MarshJess Harding and Ella Thomas.

However, viewers were convinced that Sammy had been told to also ask Jess, 22, and Molly, 21, for a chat by producers based on a comment the hunk had previously said.

Taking to Twitter to discuss their findings many couldn’t help but recall that Sammy’s supposed taste in women was not reflected in his dates.

“Did the producers make him choose Jess and Molly?? Swear they said his type is brunette  #LoveIsland,” questioned one suspicious person.

Another viewer moaned: “Feel like producers forced him to pick Jess #LoveIsland”

  • Who left Love Island?

LOVE Island fans were all saying the same thing as the first Islander was dumped from the villa in a brutal recoupling.

Friday night's episode of Love Island saw the stars forced to make big decisions when it came to their budding romances.

And George Fensom was left single and sent packing after Jess Harding made the decision to couple up with bombshell Sammy Root.

Viewers rushed to social media to have their say on the first dumping, with one writing: "Aw I feel sorry for George."

Another said: "She was never picking George."

And a third added: "Bless George he knew that was coming."

  • Mad moves

Molly Marsh was left in floods of tears as Mitchel cooled things off with her.

He wanted her to explore her options.

  • Pol position

  • She's Our Girl

LOVE Island’s Molly Marsh has an unlikely connection to Our Girl actress Michelle Keegan.

Molly’s mum, Janet Marsh, has opened up on her career on the small screen after fans of the dating show spotted she had a string of her own TV appearances.

And she has revealed that one of her jobs saw her work alongside Michelle on Coronation Street

Speaking exclusively, Janet told The Sun: “I went to drama school and when I came out I got an agent and then suddenly I started to get small speaking roles.

“It was Heartbeat first and then Coronation Street.

“My first role on Corrie was with Fred Elliot and I was a doctor for his grandson, so a doctor first.

“Then years later I came back as a nurse for Ashley’s Peacock’s girlfriend, so linked to Fred again.

“Then years later I was a receptionist at an abortion clinic, with Michelle Keegan when she first started out.

“It was one of her first jobs, but she was lovely, really really nice.

“The scene was funny because I think you literally just saw my ear and heard my voice. We all got round the TV, like ‘it’s going to be on, it’s going to be on’, and you just saw my ear.”

  • Who left Love Island tonight?

Fans said goodbye to George Fensom tonight.

He was first to be axed, but he's not bitter.

He gushed: "I’ve had an absolute blast, dropping loose game and making everyone laugh.

The experiences I’ve had, the people I’ve met and the lifelong friendships that I’ve formed have
made my Villa experience very worthwhile.

I wish everyone in there the best Villa experience and I can’t wait to see them all on the outside."

  • George is out!

And he's reliving his favourite moment in the villa.

George said: "The Wary Tales challenge, I got to snog Molly, that was alright!"

  • A dose of Medhi-cine

So...Whitney got her dose of Medhi-cine.

Do you see them sit closely together and vibe?

Didn't see that coming, but she's impressed.

  • Man down

Looks like George Fensom will be missed after he was brutally kicked out tonight...

  • Holly Molly

Molly Marsh and Ella Thomas are bookies favourites to take home the cash prize at the end of the summer on the hit ITV show.

According to Ladbrokes, after nearly a week in the villa, the bookies have Mitchel and Molly priced at just 5/2 to go all the way and win the series.

Elsewhere, Tyrique is proving popular with punters up to this point; 4/1 says he wins the show with Ella, while 5/1 says he does so with Jess.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Fans and punters can't get enough of Mitchel and Molly up to this point and their odds of winning the series are only getting shorter."

  • Bye, George

So the first casualty of Love Island has been announced.

George is the first to leave.

Wonder how fans are taking this?

  • Whitney picks Medhi

Oh noooo! George is going home.

    Whitney picked Medhi over him,

Do you see Tyrique and Mitchel in tears?

    Gutted!

  • Sam-thing special

    Jess has got her man.

Did you see her all giggly as she picked Sammy?

  • Molly picks Mitch

    Now that was a shock.

    Even for Mitch.

    Sammy looks gutted.
