Kerry Katona has candidly detailed the abuse she suffered at the hands of her late ex-husband George Kay.
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry, 42, was married to George, who died of a drug overdose in 2019, from 2014 until 2017.
Now, Kerry has revealed the extent of the physical abuse she suffered during their relationship – with George once trying to strangle Kerry after singer Bryan Adams fed her some broccoli.
In an extract from her new book, shared by The Sun Online, Kerry recalled how she told George and an estate agent of an encounter with Bryan during a house viewing in Wigan.

She recalled telling her then-husband and the estate agent: "'I had this big plate of vegetables in front of me and I didn’t fancy them, but Bryan kept urging me in his fantastic Canadian drawl, 'Eat them, you have to eat your greens!'
"And then, Bryan Adams fed me broccoli off a fork'."
Singer Kerry insisted there was "nothing sexual or romantic" between herself and the Canadian singer and the situation was just a "jokey exchange between two people".
"But George didn’t see it that way," Kerry recalled. "We left the house-viewing quickly, got in the car and as he drove off he had one hand on the steering wheel and one around my neck."
Kerry wrote how she could "barely breathe" and thought she was "done for" before George release his grip.

Instagram)She explained how he then "pulled over, opened the passenger side door and dragged me out of the car by my hair".
The former pop star added: "I fell, hitting my head on the door. He spat on me, got back in the car and drove off.
"All because Bryan Adams had fed me broccoli off a fork."
Kerry has previously discussed her abusive marriage with ex George, who was 39 when he died, and in 2021 she revealed how he had threatened to rape her.

Liverpool Echo)Speaking in 2021, Kerry recalled in an interview with Ulrika Jonsson for The Sun: "The worst thing he did was spit in my face… I got to the point where I would rather take a good beating than have him spit in my face."
The report added: "At one point, he threatened to rape her and her mum and harm their daughter. Kerry was forced to hide herself and her daughter in a cupboard."

She previously revealed in an interview on Loose Women she left the marriage for the sake of herself and her daughter.
The mum-of-five said: "I know if I’d stayed with George I’d be dead. I know it 100%. Or DJ would. I’m going to stand by that until the day I die. It was never going to happen [him change his life]."
