NOBLE STYLE (3.00 York, nap)

He looked like a promising star when he won his debut at Ascot in May. It was a shame, however, that this Kingman colt faltered, so he stayed away until late July when he ran the Tanker to score on the July course at Newmarket.

His Charlie Appleby trainer thinks a lot of him and here he can take a big step forward.

GOLDEN VOICE (5.20 York, nb)

He has just passed by a decent rival in his Redcar and is ready for this step up to the mile It seems to be done. He will be close in course and distance in May and will be happy to return.

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS (3.35 York, Treble)

Templegate's York-Ever Day 3 Race-by-Race Guide

1.50

PARACHUTE finally William Buick's We rode at Newbury in June when we scored. He enjoyed the trip there and today he has gained only 4 pounds.

He has not enjoyed Chester these days, but he will be happier here.

Juan de Montalban gave his best for the trip and was well prepared when he scored at the latest Ascot.

Although he gained weight, he became a major player again.

Cormier said he could easily win Chester over 1m2f but no problem at this long distance.

He has scored here before and can handle an eight-pound weight gain.

Party Island is in great shape in all weather and would be a threat if it looked like this on grass.

Amitiaz is back from his break, but he's best of friends and can't be discounted.

Marajan tries his first cheekpiece.

2.25

STRADIVARIUS has won this race on his three occasions and has scored in all his six visits to Knavesmire.

Last time Goodwood pushed Cyprios away in his cup and he came very close to his best when Trushan returned to his third place.

Team He Gosden's superstar won't be racing much longer and here he can get another day in the sun.

It's a real shame that Frankie doesn't do his trademark flying dismount from Strad, but Andrea his Atzeni is a capable pilot.

Trushan won Northumberland his plate in all weather, but was too quick last time at Goodwood and needs more rain.

He may also have sensed his fine weight-carrying efforts at Newcastle.

Coltrane is not in the same class as the Big 2, as he showed when Goodwood was still a decent 4th in his Cup.

He is a thorough sojourner, as he showed in the Ascot Stakes. He has a chance to be on the podium.

Ascot Gold Tashkan, who finished fifth in his cup, can also see behind Cyprios this season.

He led home around his turn, so this drop on Trip should help.

He was fifth in his place here at Melrose last season so the track is right, but Brian he needs a lot of improvement for Ellison.

3.00

NOBLE STYLE looked like a potential star when he won his May debut at Ascot. He will score at Newmarket in his course in July.

Trainer Charlie Appleby thinks of him well and here he can take a big step forward.

Royal His Scotsman has already proven at this level thanks to his victory in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood 22 days earlier.

It is based on his third of the Coventry Stakes and he is gifted.

Marshman would find this opponent tougher than his last Thirsk, but he scored by almost nine lengths without breaking a sweat.

He has progressed from there and is worthy of his position in this company.

Called him a case he entered a minor contest here in June, but last time he did not qualify for Chester in second place.

He may not have helped the soft ground either, but he is better than that.

Waiting All Night placed him fifth in the Coventry Stakes and second in the latest Ascot Stakes.

3.35

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS He is in good form over 6f and won Group 1 last time.

A 2-year-old can win, and Platinum his queen can take full weight advantage.

She was dazzling the last time she scored at Goodwood.

Royal Acclaim was last month's listed winner for course and distance, and it looks like this classy company can make a name for itself.

Trainer James Tate is very confident.

After recently winning Goodwood Group 2, Khaadem deserves a crack at this level.

4.10

STATE OCCASION took a big step forward with his Glorious Goodwood doing well.

It was her first crack on this trip and it fit perfectly. She's 5 pounds up on her, but she can handle it.

Amanzoe continues to win and most recently she picked up a bit at Ascot to score her four points from the last five.

She is increasing the weights sharply, but seems to be able to dig more holes at the right distance.

Lille Her Rosie was also in good form when she scored the goal at Nottingham. This one is tougher and she needs more as she is 7lbs but her trainer Ed Bethell is in decent shape so she might be able to do it.

The Champions managed to win easily despite an early slump at Windsor. She has not been beaten in this handicap debut and is a contender.

4.45

DESERT ORDER looks to be the best of the racetrack veterans.

He started in his third of his at Newmarket this time around, matching that form with his second photo at Sandown.

He should be able to improve it.

Salt Lake City looks threatening after a promising debut in his colors 13 days ago, when he scored second place. He wasn't asked too many questions by Saddle, but it still worked.

Pjanoo was green when he finished 3rd overall in Ayr, but he has much more to offer in this strong company.

Magee's Tern stepped up from his debut at Leicester when he was hit in the neck and managed to come across the place.

5.20

GOLDEN VOICE He just got passed by a decent competitor at Redcar and he looks ready for this step up.

He came close in course and distance to his May. he will be happy to come back.

Bolthall is a proven stayer, setting a personal best when closing in on his third on a large field at Goodwood. His 3-pound gain in weight is fair.

Handicap at Nottingham On his debut, the trip was a piece of cake if things went well. Despite gaining eight pounds, he has more to come for the Gosdens.

Al Marmar has more to offer.
